The DWI/DUI program opened in the fall of 2001, and serves adults through alcohol and drug counseling and educational services. This program is offered on Tuesday evenings, beginning at 6:00 am for the one hour counseling session, followed by a two hour educational session at 7:00 pm.
Individuals in need of this service arrange an initial assessment with the Office Manager. The assessment is conducted by our licensed therapist, Judith Belchic-Martin. We utilize the ASI multimedia version (computerized assessment) tool in additional to face to face interview. An Individual Treatment Plan is developed and agreed upon between therapist and client and teh program begins.
Individual sessions are offered, as needed, but at a minimum
after 45 days in the program and after 90 days in the program and
approximately one month before completion of the program.
A determination of progress at these meetings determines if any
changes can/should be made to the Individual Treatment Plan.
Each client is made aware of the random drug and alcohol screening that is conducted as a part of this program. Clients may use their own laboratory, or use LabCorp, a local lab with which we have a contract. Alcohol screening is done inhouse.
The adult program does not participate with any insurance providers
because the majority of them do not cover adult substance abuse
services that have been referred through the court system. Please
call to request pricing information.
